Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to delete your Dummy Mechanic AI account and all of the data associated with it. Dummy Mechanic AI is published by the developer shown on our app store listing.

How to delete your account from inside the app

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly in the app at any time:

Open the Dummy Mechanic AI app and make sure you are signed in.
Go to the Garage tab.
Open Account settings.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent — it cannot be undone. Once confirmed, your account and its data are removed from our servers right away.

Delete only some of your data (keep your account)

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can delete individual items at any time, and they are removed from our servers as well as your device:

Remove a saved vehicle — in the Garage tab, select the vehicle and choose Remove. This deletes that vehicle and its details (year, make, model, VIN, mileage).
Delete a saved diagnosis — open your diagnostic history and choose Delete this diagnosis on an item, or Delete all history to clear them all.

These actions remove only the data you select and leave the rest of your account in place.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove all personal data we hold for you on our servers, including:

Your account identity and email address.
Your saved vehicles (year, make, model, VIN, mileage).
Your saved diagnostics and diagnostic history.
Any photos you submitted that were stored with your saved items.

Photos and audio or video you submit for an AI diagnosis are processed to generate your result and are not retained on our servers afterward — temporary processing files are deleted immediately after the diagnosis is generated, whether or not you have an account.

What is kept, and for how long

After deletion we do not keep your personal account data. We may retain a small amount of non-identifying, aggregated usage information (for example, anonymous app-performance statistics) that is not linked to you and cannot be used to identify you. Any backups that may contain residual data are overwritten on a rolling basis and fully cycled out within 30 days. We keep no other personal data tied to your deleted account.

Prefer to delete without the app?

If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion of your account and data by emailing us. Please write from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account", and we will permanently delete your data and confirm by reply.
